POPSCENE, now in its second year and based in the sprawling metropolis of Bangkok, is basically an event for the good music loving masses who might feel starved of quality tunes and good live bands. Under the POPSCENE banner, four separate super cool events are occurring.

Firstly and easily named POPSCENE is a monthly event all about giving people some well needed good music and a chance to go a bit frigging mental on the dance floor. Two live bands kick the night off with DJs Yark, Matty Boy and Pretty Standard spinning quality indie, britpop and classic tunes all night.

Secondly, BACKBEAT, another monthly event is a very cool authentic night of awesome music from the 60′s and 70′s. Northern Soul, R&B, Rockabilly, Rock and Roll and Psychedelia tunes are spun from 45s all night long.

Thirdly, GOLD is a night purely dedicated to the 80′s, the most danceable music ever put to record.

Lastly, POPSCENE LIVE is a weekly night of live music from local, regional and international bands. If you are in a band and you want to play, send me a facebook message or an email.
